STATUE OR THOUGHTS | ayushnaphadeblogs | Ayush Naphade

Yesterday evening, I was traveling on the crowded streets of the city with my father. When he stopped the car due to traffic, my eyes went to a tall statue in the middle of the road. A little brown girl, aged 6-7, with helplessness spread all over her face, was begging for food standing in the shadow of the Statue. Ironically, the statue above her was dedicated to a Social Worker, who had devoted his entire life to women's education and empowerment.

My head got caught in a trance.

I saw a statue every 500 meters, and that innocent poor girl's image came in front of my eyes. I began wondering, If those great men would've been alive, would they have seen this happen?

Would they have allowed to make their own statues,

instead of giving the girl her right to education?

There are many statues in India that are not even officially registered and each one is worth more than 10 lakhs. If you don't belive me, just count the number of statues in your city and calculate the price.

What if this huge sum of money was spent on improving India's education system?  Start small and just think of sponsoring just 1 child's education.

Even then the life of those great men would've proved to be meaningful, as it really is.

With the absence of those statues, the square's would still be known by their names!  The respect for those great men will not be diminished.

We have to think about it because India's future depends on our thoughts and on actions, Precisely!

Ask yourself,

What will you do if you want to purchase a statue of ideal person or at the same time someone needed funding for his/her education?

Please answer this question in the comment section.

  14. Definitely Spend money on funding to his/her education. Instead of feeling proud by making statues we have to follow thoughts of those great personalities, so, that will be great homage to those inspirations.

  18. When we idealise something it's must be reflected through our actions. It's not necessary to have a statue of that personality. I would definitely go for funding education rather than funding statues.
